Yes dear beachites and non-beachites, educating the public about immigration is what we are all about. That is why the wonderful people at the Long Beach Immigrant Rights Coalition have teamed up with CSULB's Center For Community Engagement, La Raza Student Association, WSSA and the AB 540 group FUEL to bring some very mucho needed humanitarian point of view when it comes to the issue of immigration.
Maybe it is for my self-interest that you go because they will be showing a small film that was directed by yours truly. Maybe I want you to learn about other student's struggle. Maybe nobody reads this and all this effort will be in vain. Whatever the case may be, tell a friend or a teacher to attend the Immigration Awareness Week events at CSULB and spread the word about AB 540 students!
